Spectacular Scenery
Otley has been referred to as the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and Ilkley Moor, but it has its own natural wonder in the Chevin, which towers above the town and offers hours
of walking pleasure and fabulous views, in the extensive public forest.
This can be accessed from our grounds through a private gate.
From Surprise View just above Pelstone Cobbles, there is a panoramic 360 degree view of the spectacular Yorkshire countryside and the White Horse at Sutton Bank 32 miles away,
can be seen on a clear day.
About Otley
Otley itself is a thriving, historic market town situated on the river Wharfe approximately ten miles from both Leeds and Harrogate.
Spend a day browsing the market, boutiques, gift and antique shops, buy some artisan produce and then enjoy some real ale in one of the eighteen pubs in the town.
Each pub has it's own unique atmosphere from Irish bar to Tap room. Throughout the year, events are held in and around the town such as the Otley Agricultural Show,
Otley Carnival, the Victorian Christmas Fair, not to mention the cycling events including the "Tour de Yorkshire".
